Coastal Learning Community - Solar Car Challenge Winners!

You're looking at the team behind the fastest solar car across the whole Coastal Learning Community. 1st out of 19 cars!

Stage 3 students have been busy making solar cars as a STEM activity linked to a recent Science unit 'on 'Circuits and Switches'.

Not only were the cars functioning from the solar panels, students were also required to work together and attach a battery and switch for indoor racing or if the weather was overcast. 

The CPS Solar Cup took place over the last few days to determine who had the fastest car over 10m. 

Our top 3 teams took their solar cars to Kingscliff High to race against other schools in the Coastal Learning Community and be part of the 'Eye on the Future Challenge', where Amelia, Edie and Ella were successful in taking out first place.
